Nick's Interest in ceramics and antiques began many years ago, and when the opportunity arose to buy an already successful family run auction house, Nick and his wife Lyn jumped at the chance. Since then the company has moved from strength to strength and is now in a brand new purpose built saleroom near Stroud.
Ceramics are still Nick’s main passion, he is forever inquisitive and is often researching the market and how it’s changing. Nick is also our main visiting auctioneer or point of contact with the public and travels extensively on appointments, bringing in our team of specialists when appropriate.
He is passionate about providing an excellent service at reasonable cost, and this is borne out by the statistics which regularly place Stroud Auctions at the top of the national league table for internet bidding, number of internet and commission bids left and satisfaction ratings for the ‘postage at cost price’ service.
He is constantly looking at ways to improve the customer experience, keep costs to a minimum and innovate.
He is particularly pleased by the mix of young enthusiastic members of staff learning from some of the more experienced valuers.
